DOORS OPEN DENVER –AN ANNUAL DENVER FAVORITE
The 10th Anniversary of Doors OPEN Denver will be held on April 12th and 13th. The Denver Architectural Foundation annually presents this free two-day event of tours in and around Denver’s most interesting buildings. Headquarters for 2014 will be at 1801 California Street.
The 2014 theme Celebrating Neighborhood Architecture will feature sites and tours in the neighborhoods of Downtown, Capitol Hill, LoDo, Santa Fe, Park Hill, Five Points, Highlands, Hill Top, Uptown, Cherry Creek, The Mariposa District, Golden Triangle, Baker (South Broadway), RiNo, the Auraria Campus and others.
Expert tours, given by architects, docents and historians, are also free but will require an admission ticket due to limited capacity. Self-guided, biking and walking tours will also be on the schedule. Some new buildings this year are the KPOF Hall, The Growhaus, Topo Designs, Denver Water’s Three Stone Houses and more!
